A note on our editorial dossier method
The dossier we produce during the diagnostic phase is not a consultancy report. It is a narrative document — written in plain language, structured around observed behaviours, and designed to be read rather than skimmed. We believe that the quality of the diagnosis determines the quality of the intervention.
Each dossier is shared only with the commissioning sponsor and, where appropriate, with the participants themselves. Transparency is a design choice: when leaders see an honest account of how they operate, the motivation for change becomes intrinsic rather than imposed.
This method draws on ethnographic research traditions and has been refined through over a decade of practice with organisations ranging from Welsh public bodies to multinational engineering firms.
